I am currently the Global Communications Lead for the UN Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, a six-UN-agency initiative. I lead the editorial strategy, audience engagement, knowledge management, and support multistakeholder engagement for institutional positioning and partnership development.
I was the Communications Officer for the International Labour Organization's Decent Work Team for South Asia and the Country Office for India. I led the internal and external communication, visibility and advocacy for the office and most notably, was part of the ILO HQ's media team for the International Labour Conference 2023 in Geneva and handled communication for the Director General's official delegation to the G20 Summit in India.
WWF India
March 2019 - November 2021
With the Sustainable Business vertical of WWF India, I oversaw the division's internal and external communication, including brand development and launch, behaviour change communication, campaign strategy and management, ranging from renewable energy to sustainable finance. Additionally, I worked on the thematic areas of plastics and forest-linked commodities through a circular economy approach, with partners like UKRI, IKEA, UN Environment Programme and CII.
Hindustan Times
March 2018 - March 2019
As a video producer for Hindustan Times and Mint, I researched and produced videos on 24/7 breaking news, related to national and international topics, and covered elections and live parliamentary proceedings. Most notably, I led the 2018 "No Confidence Motion" Parliament debate coverage, producing over 10 videos that garnered over 2 million views in 24 hours, across the English and regional language channels of the organization.
The Quint
May 2016 - January 2018
As a multimedia journalist with The Quint, I covered breaking national and international events, and elections in the 24/7 news cycle, through live blogs, news stories and videos. I researched, analysed and wrote long-form, and data-driven articles on national and international news, and produced videos on culture, technology and the environment. Additionally, Initiated and advocated for a more rigorous and sensitive editorial approach to gender-based violence, contributing to expanded coverage of the issue, and initiated sustainability practices within the organization that led to it sign up as an organizational signatory to WWF India's flagship "Give Up" campaign.
